Joe Ramirez, the CEO and founder of Apex Mobile, came up with the concept for CivicSocial after working with over 100 public safety agencies to develop and launch community engagement focused mobile applications. Universally, he noticed that agencies were struggling with the creation of marketing materials and social media posts to promote their applications to their communities.
The concept became a reality when then Officer Jason Muenzer, the PIO for a Georgia public safety agency that had been working with Apex Mobile on new feature development (Jason has formal education in graphic design) mentioned that he was looking for a new challenge after having spent 20 years in law enforcement.
The timing was perfect. With Jason joining the team full time, Apex Mobile now had the technology and first-hand creative guidance to make CivicSocial a reality.
